Web design is all around us; it’s everywhere that we go. With the rise of internet technologies, more and more people are building websites. Individuals are creating blogs; companies are creating professional sites. Then, you have social networking websites; the list goes on and on.
If you surf the web, then you’ll see examples of web design. Every website you click on has been carefully designed to appeal to viewers. It’s something that’s highly important, and people often don’t think about it. They underrate its importance, and I’m here to tell you why you shouldn’t do that. Just for a moment, let’s imagine the world without web design. What would it look like?
People underestimate how important web design is to the modern world. When we go on the internet, we’re not thinking about anything. We don’t stop and wonder how everything gets online. You’re reading this on a website right now. I bet you didn’t even think about how the website was created and how you’re receiving this content. Everyone relies on the internet for so many different things. We use it for research; we use it to help us throughout our day. If we need to book train tickets, we’ll hop online and do it immediately. It serves so many different purposes and is essential to modern life. But, without web design, none of this would be possible. There wouldn’t be any websites to surf; there wouldn’t be any Google.
Web designers work on a lot more than the aesthetics of a site. They start their work at the base level, dabbling in HTML scripts and what have you. A web designer can create something out of nothing. All of the websites you see came out of nowhere. They were created by a designer, who made sure everything worked effectively. Eradicate web design from the world, and how do you expect these websites will be built? There wouldn’t be a way to create a website for you to buy your train tickets. There wouldn’t be a site that helped answer your questions on a daily basis. To put it simply, the internet would slowly crumble, and cease to exist.
What you’d end up with is the world without the internet. We’d regress back to our former years when the internet wasn’t around. People would look for alternatives to solve their daily problems. You’ll be amazed at how much of an impact this has on your daily life. So many small problems are solved by a quick Google search. And, I haven’t even begun to talk about the impact on businesses. Without web design, there would be no online business at all. This would cut out one of the biggest industries in the world!
To conclude, we shouldn’t undervalue the importance of web design. You may think it’s about making sites look pretty, but it’s far more than that. In a world without web design, the internet would slowly fade away into nothingness. It would create a huge hole in our lives that’s for sure!
